Parent Connections

A variety of groups or events connect parents to the school, the teachers and to fellow parents:

  • Each family will receive a Home Visit from the student's teacher(s) before the school year begins. Parents and student have the opportunity to visit with the teacher(s) and to get acquainted with the program for the coming year.
  • A Parent Newsletter is sent home with the children every Monday (or first day of a school week). Upcoming events, reminders, school news and a weekly calendar are included on this sheet.
  • Classroom Newsletters are sent from each classroom. Notes on upcoming field trips, events, special classroom activities and academic topics to be covered inform parents on happenings in their child's classroom.
  • Each teacher publishes a blog and a homework/event calendar on this website. Links may be found on the home page for each of the respective grade levels.
  • Monthly Parent Nights feature classroom visits, presentations on topics of interest or student performances.
  • Parent volunteers provide valuable service to the administration of the school and the functioning of individual classrooms.
  • Report Cards are issued quarterly. Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled at the end of the first and third quarters. Additional conferences may be scheduled upon the request of the teacher or parents.
