THEMES FOR DAILY MEDITATION |
The theme of knowledge that runs through the 2008 cycle of Gospel readings draws our attention to the deepening relationship between ourselves and our God. We see the act of knowing in the first lessons (I have seen the Lord) expand in later lessons into a state of knowing (we in God and God in us). And, finally, joined to the risen Christ, we receive from the Spirit the Peace of God.
The Gospel sets the theme for the week and the meditations for of the following days reflect on that theme to increase our understanding as together we celebrate Jesus' Resurrection and the promise of our new life, salvation and resurrection in him. |
