So great is the gift of life through the resurrection of Jesus Christ that the church sets aside a season of preparation before celebrating the feast. During this season of Lent, Christians undertake special disciplines of worship, prayer, study, fasting and good works so that they may assess their lives and return to the way of their Lord whom they will receive with joy as the fast concludes with the Day of the Resurrection. . Saint Luke Church offers many opportunities for preparation through a variety of Lenten disciplines. Study the offerings, make your commitment and return to the Lord, your God, to walk in the way of the Christ and celebrate his glorious victory. |
WORSHIP |
Morning and evening weekday services complement the regular Sunday morning services during Lent. Holy Week offers a variety of daily services of Holy Communion and special services of quiet and meditation. On Easter Day the Lord's name is praised from the rising of the sun until its setting. |
