Chicago JazzMass Ensemble . Chicagoland jazz greats collaborate to compose and perform a staged Passion in modern language and the jazz idiom. Music by Bobby Lewis, Bobby Schiff and Andy Tecson. Libretto by David Abrahamson. . The Passion will be performed by a 12-piece jazz band, choir and soloists with Bob Bowkers as Jesus. . "victorious, eternal, Light...A JAZZ PASSION" was written to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Saint Luke Church. It is offered free of charge as an anniversary gift to the community from Saint Luke Church. The church is wheelchair accessible. There is free parking in the lot immediately west of the church. . .

Saint Luke Bach Choir and Chamber Orchestra Mark P. Bangert, Director . Considered by many to be the highest achievement of the composer, this musical history of Jesus' passion and death together with devotional commentary by Bach's contemporary, J. F. Picander, and selected hymn stanzas is scored for soloists, two choirs, two orchestras and children's choir. . It is offered free of charge as a gift from Saint Luke Church in observance of its 125th anniversary. The church is wheelchair accessible.
