Level Two - Grades 2-3
Students in Saint Luke Academy's Level Two (Grades 2-3) expand their academic tools
and lay foundations for more complex skills and ventures.

Reading Literacy, Language Mechanics and Oral/Written Expression provide a basis for Language Appreciation. Students move from simple sentence construction to writing paragraphs and informative reports.

Problem Solving and Strategizing applied to both math and science

Research skills are introduced.

Study of American and World Cultures underscores concepts of Citizenship and Society and provides direction for studies of Ecology and the stewardship of resources.

Sensory integration is promoted through music appreciation, painting, drawing and physical education classes.

All classes have an outdoor playtime at least once a day (weather permitting).

Religious studies are enhanced by the many worship opportunities at Saint Luke.

Participation in extracurricular activities begins during Level Two.

After School Activities
Saint Luke Academy offers a variety of after-school activities and clubs for children at all different grade levels. Activities are offered for finite periods throughout the school year to allow students to sample a variety of different activities. Fee-based classes taught by professionals from neighborhood organizations on Saint Luke's campus are also available to students.
Sports
A basketball program is available to students in Grades 3 and 4. Co-ed teams practice after school and enjoy round-robin play in the Lutheran School League.
