Our companion animals are a blessing! No one understood this like Saint Francis of Assisi. He believed that nature itself was the mirror of God. He called all creatures his "brothers" and "sisters", and even preached to the birds.

During the first week of October the Church celebrates the Day of Saint Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Animals. Traditionally during this time congregations have conducted special services for the blessing of animals.

In keeping with that tradition, Saint Luke Ministries will host a virtual blessing via Zoom for animals at 5:30 PM on October 11th.

 

We invite companion animals of all shapes and sizes.
