John Langfeld (recorders), Jason Moy (harpsichord) and Jody Livo (violin) will present a concert of solo sonatas for one melodic instrument and continuo, trio sonatas for two melodic instruments and continuo, and a trio for the violin and each of the harpsichordist’s two hands! The program will feature music by Corelli, Marais, Sieber, Handel and J. S. Bach. The program is free. Free parking is available in the lot on the west side of the Church. |
The Saint Luke harpsichord, pictured above, was made by Peter Tkach of St. Louis, MO and is modeled after the Dulcken double-manual harpsichord in the Smithsonian’s collection. It has a wide palette of tonal colors and textures that are well-suited to Baroque compositions.
