Saint Luke has developed and implemented community programs that put it at the cener of a network of outreach ministries. Our vision is shaped by Christ's mandate to

"love God and the Neighbor" in this place.


 Affordable Housing

Almost 200 units of affordable independent and

supportive living for seniors provided in partnership with

the Renaissance Companies


Intergenerational Programming

Luncheons, Activities, Holiday Dinners, Special Events involving area seniors with the people of Saint Luke and

the children of Saint Luke Academy.


Fine Arts Community Gallery

Community Exhibits, Senior and Student shows, Artists Guild


Free Concert Series

Bach, Chamber, Jazz

Ministry Within the Community

Volunteers are the lifeblood of congregational programs. Almost every area of congregtional life benefits from dedicated members who offer time, talent and resources to their various endeavors. A partial listing is found below. Anyone interested in serving in any of these areas or who desires to offer other services may contact the church office at 773-472-3383 or


Assisting Ministers, Eucharistic Ministers, Master Acolytes

Ushers, Lectors, Presenters, Acolytes



Teachers and/or Leaders in Sunday School and Bible Class

Classroom Assistants in Saint Luke Academy


Social Services

Fundraising and Material Aid projects for a variety of relief efforts, especially Bread for the World, LakeView Pantry, Lutheran World Relief, Lutheran Life Communities, North Side Housing & Supportive Services, Lutheran Outdooor Ministry,

Chicagoland Lutheran Educational Fund



Vocalists and instrumentalists who serve in choirs or instrumental ensembles for worship
